This slide was taken from the peripheral blood of a 48 year-old female with plasma cell leukemia as part of multiple myeloma. The peripheral blood smear showed marked rouleaux formation. Ninety-four percent (94%) of the laboratories correctly identified this cell as a plasma cell.
