This slide was taken from the peripheral blood of a 19 year-old female with easy bruising. Her WBC was 47.3 X 10³/µL. She was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The cell depicted in slide 53 is a myeloblast. Responses of Blast cell present not classified, myeloblast, lymphoblast and monoblast were accepted.
