Diagnosis: Acute myelocytic leukemia (AML) Available data: 49 year- old male. Prominent cell findings pertaining to Slide 004 included: giant platelets and myeloblasts. No error points were assigned when indicating the presence of toxic granulation and basophilic stippling. While not in abundance, they were evident features on this slide. Four hundred sixty-eight (468) laboratories successfully passed this slide with a score of 80% or higher. Five (5) laboratories failed this slide with a score below 80%.
