Proficiency Testing Activities of the Clinical Chemistry & Hematology Laboratories

Monitoring  and improving quality of laboratories in New York is an important function of our laboratories. Proficiency Testing programs are approved by the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) as CLIA'88 proficiency test programs. They include, among others, all analytes specified in the Federal Register CLIA'88 notice (Dept of Health and Human Services, Health Care Financing Administration. Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988;Final Rule. Fed. Reg. February 28, 1992; 57: 7001 - 7288).
