Developing an Occupational Health Plan for High-Risk Agents

The Wadsworth Center is offering a free one-day workshop titled "Developing an Occupational Health Plan for High-Risk Agents". This free workshop is an opportunity to exchange information on medical surveillance and response protocols for working with high-risk pathogens and to discuss key components of a comprehensive occupational health plan.
Who should attend?
Occupational health physicians/nurses, health and safety professionals, and principal investigators from public, private, and academic institutions in New York State working with select agents or other high-risk pathogens, including Northeast Biodefense Center member institutions.Workshop objective:
To enhance communication, share information, and solicit input regarding the key components of a model occupational health plan for working with high-risk pathogens.

Lodging:
The closest hotel (2 blocks from the venue) is the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Medical Center.
A block of rooms will be reserved for workshop attendees for the evening of July 21; reservation information including hotel contact information, the block ID number and rate information will be included in the confirmation notices.
Please Note - Attendees are responsible for reserving and paying for hotel/overnight expenses.
Transportation:
By air: The closest airport is Albany International (ALB), which is approximately ten miles from the venue. Some hotels near the venue offer free shuttle service to and from the airport.
By train: Amtrak provides service to Albany-Rensselaer Station, which is approximately two miles from the venue. Taxi service is available.
By car: Albany is situated at the intersection of I-87 and I-90 in Eastern New York. Driving times: Boston, 3 hours; New York City, 3 hours; Montreal: 4 hours; Buffalo: 5 hours; Toronto: 5 hours.
Parking is available in the parking lot at DAI.
