Wadsworth Center Data Retrieval

Sequencing

Data will be returned as a hard copy and may be retrieved through dnaLIMS

  1. Logon to dna LIMS http://corelims.wadsworth.org
  2. Select "Retrieve Sequencing Result".
  3. Select by Order number, sample sheet #, date, or sample name and "Submit".
  4. Select Text or Chromatogram (trace) files to download to your PC.
  5. In the dnaLIMS main menu in Support Tools, there are links to sites that provide free Windows or Macintosh chromatogram viewers.

Data files will be available for 30 days from run date. If you have any difficulty, contact Matt Shudt 518-474-4200.

Genotyping and Microarray

Data are downloaded to the AGTC server known as "Watson". To access your folder in Watson, follow the steps below.

  1. Right click on "My Computer" and select "Map Network Drive".
  2. Ignore the "Drive" and type \\hal\watson in the "Folder" space.
  3. Select "Finish".
  4. Enter your Wadsworth Center user name and password
  5. Data are located within a folder named for the P.I. listed on the service submission form.

Data Retrieval for Non-Wadsworth Users

Currently, genotyping and microarray services can either email or burn the data to a disc.
