Submission Instructions for DNA Sequencing
Please Note New Submission Requirements:
DNA Sequencing: Change of Sample Submission Requirements
Effective October 1, 2008, DNA sequencing samples will need to be submitted to the AGT Core in a new format. The purpose of this new format is to increase throughput capabilities and reduce turnaround time for results.
After November 14, 2008, samples in the old format will not be accepted.
The new format consists of requiring that the sample and primer be combined into a single tube prior to submission. Further, the samples will need to be submitted in 0.2ml 8-strip PCR tubes at a final volume of 21µl. To maintain consistency for use with automation, we require specific PCR tubes and caps to be used for samples. The Catalog #’s are listed in the Sample Submission Guidelines. For complete instructions, go to Submission Guidelines.
For those labs that do not have the required tubes and caps on hand, the core will provide 8-strip tubes and caps by request. If there are any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your cooperation.
