DNA Sequencing Services

DNA sequencing is performed on an Applied Biosystems model 3730 DNA Analyzer or Applied Biosystems model 3130 Genetic Analyzer. The sequencer uses fluorescent dyes and a scanning laser to process up to 96 sequences per run with resolution of up to 800 bases each. The sequencer has the ability to sequence single and multiple point mutations as well as long clones. Sample types that can be sequenced include PCR fragments, double stranded templates (plasmids, cosmids, BACs etc.) and single stranded templates.
