Circular Dichroism Spectroscopy: CD measurements are performed on a JASCO J-715 spectropolarimeter in the wavelength range of 178-800nm. The instrument is equipped with Peltier temperature control. Experiments include secondary structure determination, protein refolding, binding and thermal melt studies. Accessories include an extended range option of 870-1050nm, a fluorescence detected CD attachment, a stopped flow accessory and a device for ultra low temperature studies. The instrument is computer controlled and allows spectra to be averaged over multiple scans, performs noise reduction and various mathematical manipulations of the spectra.
