Macromolecular Crystallography
The macromolecular crystallography facility conducts X-ray crystallographic analysis of macromolecules in collaboration with investigators from the Wadsworth Center. The three-dimensional structures of macromolecules, and of complexes with ligands, are determined at atomic resolution. The results of these studies provide the collaborators with information for the analysis of the structure and function relationships of the molecules of interest. Initial crystallization and structural work is performed as a Core function but it is anticipated that many of the projects will develop into independently funded investigative projects or will be funded as part of existing research grants.
