Imaging

The core has both Phosphor-imager and Fluor-imager systems:

Fujix BAS 2000 Phosphor-imager
This is an imaging plate (20 cm x 40 cm) system, with high sensitivity to all
common beta or gamma emitters including tritium thus replacing traditional
X-ray film. The BAS 2000 substantially shortens experimental time and increases
precision. Location: BIGGS/C505

FLA-5100 This system allows imaging of fluorescence and radio isotopic samples as large as 40x46 cm at pixel size as low as 10 microns. This system is especially suitable for protein electrophoresis in the proteomics field and general array analysis. Location: BIGGS/C505

LAS-3000 The LAS-3000 luminescent image analyzer system combines CCD camera technology with a simplified user interface to provide significantly improved imaging sensitivity with a wide range of modalities. Location: BIGGS/C419.
