Learn about the science underlying public health issues by perusing -- and using -- digitized images on view here. Microbes of public health importance, such as B. burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme Disease, are displayed as colorized light or electron micrographs. Most are the work of Wadsworth Center scientists, and many were obtained using Wadsworth's unique national biotechnology resource, the Resource for Visualization of Biological Complexity.
