Legislative Workshop Education
In its role as scientific advisor to state government, the Wadsworth Center each year presents an interactive workshop to update legislative and executive staff about scientific advances with implications for public health policy.
The workshop features demonstrations, laboratory tours, brief presentations and informal discussions. Participants learn about research tools and techniques utilized against threats to public health; the development of more rapid and reliable tests; and new methods to track outbreaks of, or predict the course of, disease. Late breaking sessions on topical health news are also included.
