Post-Doctoral Position Available

An immediate opening is available for an industry-funded post-doctoral position. The research focus of the laboratory is fungal pathogenesis and diagnostic mycology (Mole. Microbiol. 55:1782, 2005; Eukaryot. Cell. 5:1065, 2006; BMC Ophthalmology 7:1, 2007). The current project is: 1) development of a 3-D tissue culture model, 2) genome-wide saturation mutagenesis of a fungal pathogen, characterization of 'tagged genes', and knockout mutants, and 3) development of rapid and sensitive methods for testing antimicrobials. Any combination of prior experience in mammalian tissue culture, DNA manipulations and advanced light microscopy will be considered, and further training is available for the right candidate.
