Core Facilities

Performing genome-based studies requires advanced instrumentation and specialized techniques. At the Genomics Institute, several core facilities have been established to provide investigators access to laboratories that use state-of-the-art instrumentation and high-throughput technologies for genomics research. The core facilities are continually developing new technologies in genomics for use in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Microarray Core Facility

Services Offered:

Genotyping Core Facility

  • Agarose gel-based genotyping (e.g., transgenics/knockouts, RFLP)

  • Purification from almost any cell source, including whole blood, mouse tails, cell culture and buccal swabs
