Electronic Proficiency Testing Reporting System (EPTRS)
To access the Health Commerce System go to: https://commerce.health.state.ny.us. When logged into the Portal, please note "My Applications" on the left side of the page. Individuals with access to EPTRS should select "EPTRS" under the heading "My Applications."
- For technical assistance with the EPTRS application please contact Kathi Wagner at (518)486-5410, Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm. Please note that technical issues CANNOT be resolved after 4 PM EDT.
- For assistance with Health Commerce System account activation and/or passwords please contact the Commerce Accounts Management Unit (CAMU) at 866-529-1890. Please note that login issues CANNOT be resolved after 5 PM EDT.
- It is a violation of the Health Commerce System security and use agreement to share your account User ID and password with someone else. This will result in the suspension of your account.
- Event Menu Page - Please review the laboratory's persistent data (instruments, reagents, methods, etc.) as the listed options may have changed. It is the responsibility of each laboratory to verify their data and make any necessary changes. It is recommended that an e-mail address for more than one responsible person be listed on the same line, separated by a comma.
- Worksheet - Proficiency test specimens should be introduced into the routine workflow of the laboratory and analyzed using procedures that are routinely employed for clinical specimens. It is recommended that transcription of results from one document to another be minimized to reduce reporting errors. No worksheet is necessary; results can be entered directly into the laboratory information system (LIS) and subsequently into EPTRS. However, a worksheet that resembles the EPTRS results page can be printed by selecting "Print Optional Worksheet" at the bottom of the EPTRS Enter Results page. The paper worksheet is optional and is provided at the request of a few laboratories.
Summary Page
- To submit results, navigate to the bottom of the Summary Page, validate the results, print and review the summary page, and click on the Submit/Attest button. Saving or validating without submitting results will result in a failure for non-participation. Contact the Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program at clepeptrs@health.state.ny.us if you are unable to see the "Submit/Attest" button on the EPTRS Summary Page or if you have questions concerning result entry.
- The attestation statement must be printed and signed by the laboratory director or responsible assistant director, the delegated submitter, and the analyst. The signed document must be kept on file in the laboratory for review by the laboratory surveyor during the next on-site survey.
If you experience any difficulty accessing EPTRS, please contact clepeptrs@health.state.ny.us.
