ELAP Labs Certified for Radiochemistry
A radiochemistry laboratory performs analysis to determine the radioactive properties of a sample. Certification is granted in the categories of Drinking Water and Non-Potable Water for Gross Alpha, Gross Beta, Photon Emitters, Radioactive Cesium, Iodine-131, Plutonium, Radium-226, Radium-228, Radon-222, Strontium-89, Strontium-90, Tritium and Uranium. Analysis for Gross Alpha and Gross Beta is a basic indicator that the other analytes may be present and is therefore the most common analysis performed. Radiochemical analysis is usually performed for such entities as nuclear power generating facilities and manufacturers using radioactive materials in their product.
