- Tighten and wrap the top of the slant with parafilm.
- Place the slant into the pouch of bubble wrap and continue to wrap it around the slant.
- Place the bubble wrapped speciment into a "Ziploc" storage bag with an absorbant pad.
- Wrap the completed 'Comprehensive Mycobacteriology' form around the enclosed specimen, (do not place the form inside the bag) and place them inside the white locking tube.
The locked tube should be veritically placed in the pre-assembled and addressed box for shipment.
Do not include specimens that are not intended for the Clincal Mycobacteriology Laboratory.
- Seal the box and be sure to mark it appropriately so that it complies with the standards of your courier.
