Research Interests

1. Relationship of protein structure to enzyme activity with respect to Thymidylate Synthase and Deoxycytidylate Deaminase.
   1. analysis via site-directed mutagenesis;
   2. analysis via measurements of protein-protein interactions and x-ray crystallography;
   3. analysis via developing systems for the high level expression of proteins;
2. Examining the regulation of protein synthesis at the genomic and translational level.
3. Intracellular location of thymidylate synthase and the effect that phosphorylation has on this process.
