Computing Hardware

RVBC-dedicated computers for image-processing:

  • Three dual-processor Linux workstations
  • Four-processor Linux workstation with high-end graphics
  • Four-processor Linux compute workstation with 16 GB RAM and 3TB RAID
  • Linux cluster with 13 dual-core processors and 3TB of RAID storage (available either as a stand-alone cluster or integrated into a larger Linux cluster).
  • Power Mac G5 four-procesor graphics workstation
  • Dual-processor SGI Octane workstation
  • SGI O2, Indigo2, and Indy workstations (stereo-equipped)
  • Large-screen LCD and projector displays for collaborative work
  • Two Windows desktop workstations
  • Three high-end Windows laptops

Maintenance:

Network computers, are professionally maintained by Wadsworth Center IT staff, with daily backups of critical servers.
