COLOR TABLES
More than 50 color tables are provided in the rgb directory for use with WEB (the
display module for SPIDER). These tables are an informal collection
from various places, communicated to us by Jean-Pierre Bretaudiere,
Univ. of Texas Medical Center at Houston.

LIST OF COLOR TABLES
- 8COL1
- 8 colors with sharp transitions: black, blue, marine, green,
olive, red, purple, grey.
- 8COL2
- as 8COL1: black, blue, light blue, green, light green, red,
purple, white.
- 8COL3
- as 8COL1: black, blue, light blue, green, olive, red, purple,
grey.
- AMPWIN
- Continuous from black to red, with blue and green high- lights
at 85 and 170.
- BACTOP
- As AMPWIN, but highlights occur at 0 and 255 and are blue and
yellow.
- BACTOP2
- As AMPWIN, but single green smooth highlight at 85.
- BEAHEA
- Continuous from black over grey to bright purple.
- BW5
- Black and white, steps of 8.
- BW6
- As BW5, steps of 4.
- BW7
- As BW5, steps of 2.
- BW8
- As BW5, steps of 1 ("continuous").
- GE1
- 7 colors with continuous transitions: black, light blue, blue,
purple, red, yellow, white.
- GE2
- Slightly different from GE1: light purple instead of red.
- GE3
- As GE2, yellow is darker.
- GE4
- As GE1, with top 1/5 boosted. GONZ1
- 6 colors with continuous transitions: blue, light blue, green,
yellow, orange, red, plus blue highlight at 128.
- GONZ2
- 5 colors: blue, purple, red, yellow, green.
- GONZ3
- As GONZ2: red, purple, blue, light blue, green.
- GOULD1
- 5 colors with continuous transitions: black, purple, orange,
red, pink.
- ISH1
- -As GOULD1, but without the pink top.
- JPYR7
- Continuous from yellow to red.
- MARGOT7
- As JPYR7, but in steps of 32.
- MARGOT8
- As MARGOT7.
- METHEA
- "Temperature of glowing body": black through red through yellow
to white.
- METHEA7
- As METHEA.
- PHASE1
- 7 colors with continuous transitions: light blue, purple, blue,
green, yellow, orange, light blue.
- PHASE2
- As PHASE1, changed slightly.
- POISEL
- Contouring at 64, 128, 192, with red, green, and blue.
- SCOL1
- 8 colors with continuous transitions: black, purple, blue
green, yellow, light purple, red, white.
- SURMOD1
- As BEAHEA, but to red.
- SURMOD2
- 5 colors with continuous transitions: black, blue, light blue,
orange, red.
- SURMOD3
- As SURMOD2, but pink added on top.
- TEMP
- 8 colors with continuous transitions: black, dark red, purple,
light blue, green, yellow, orange, white.
- UCLA
- Random color highlights: dark-hued 1-128, light-hued
129-255.
- UCLA1
- 8 colors with continuous transitions: black purple, blue,
green, yellow, orange, red, white.
- UCLA2
- 5 colors abruptly changing: purple, blue green, yellow,
orange.
- UCLA3
- As UCLA2, but orange changing into brown.
- UCLA4
- Similar to UCLA.
- UCLA5
- As UCLA3.
- UCLA6
- Similar to UCLA.
- UCLA7
- Similar to UCLA1.
- UCLA8
- Similar to UCLA1.
- UCPO1
- Pastel colors, continuous: purple, blue, blue-green, yellow,

- Identical to UCP01.

- 7 colors with continuous transition: black, purple, blue,
