MR - Mirror image or volume
(06/28/07)
- PURPOSE
- Creates mirror-symmetry related output image from input
image, with the mirror axis lying at row number NROW/2+1,
or NSAM/2+1, or NSLICE/2+1. Works for 2D and 3D files.
- USAGE
- .OPERATION: MR
- .INPUT FILE: H_PIC001
[Enter the name of the file to be mirrored.]
.OUTPUT FILE: H_IMG039
[Enter the name of file where mirrored image is to be stored.]
- If file is 2D, the following question appears:
- .MIRROR (X) OR (Y)-AXIS (DEFAULT=Y): Y
[Enter the mirror axis. X = interchange rows, Y=interchange
columns']
- If file is 3D, the following question appears:
- .MIRROR (Z), (X) OR (Y)-AXIS (DEFAULT=Y): Y
[Enter the mirror axis. X = interchange rows, Y=interchange
columns, Z = interchange slices.]
NOTES
- If you mirror an even length image then you will NOT
get the same results that you expect from using
Photoshop or most other imaging packages due to the
difference in placement of the axis in SPIDER.
E.g. when mirroring an even row length image using SPIDER,
the first column's value is unchanged and the last column's
value is taken from the original 2nd column. This is
consistent with the axis defined in 'RT' and other
SPIDER operations.
