Education and training of first responders, clinicians, laboratorians, and other critical partners helps ensure all essential personnel understand risks associated with biological threat agents, know how to work through defined communication venues, and have prepared and drilled emergency response protocols.

• Training of HazMat teams through NY State Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC).

• Training of CDC and NYS Emerging Infectious Disease fellows.
• Participation in the Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases training grant in collaboration with the University at Albany, and the Northeast Biodefense Center, a NIAID funded Regional Center of Excellence in Biodefense and Emerging Diseases.
