Tissue (100-1000X)

Most fluorescently labeled tissue slices (100µm uncleared and up to 500µm cleared) are best imaged with a confocal microscope. The confocal microscope removes most of the "out-of-focus" blur associated with imaging fluorescent specimens that are thicker than the depth of field of the objective lens.
Multi-channel: up to 3 biomolecules/fluorophores can be collected simultaneously with reflection microscopy. Z series can be combined with multiple biomolecules or fluorophores.

Cells (100-1000X)

  • Live (room temperature to 50ºC)
    • Transmitted light:
      • Phase contrast
      • Differential interference contrast (DIC)
      • Time-lapse
    • Fluorescence: Metal halide illumination
      • FRAP - example in gallery
      • Time lapse of one or more biomolecules or fluorophore
      • Z series (can be combined with multi biomolecules or fluorophore)
  • Fixed (fluorescent or histological stains)
    • Multi-channel:
      • Up to 5 biomolecules/fluorophore
