Cellular Immunology

Laboratories that analyze the function and/or the phenotype of white blood cells (lymphocytes/leukocytes) comprising the immune system are surveyed and permitted through the Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP).

Non-malignant leukocyte immunophenotyping (includes CD34+ stem cells), malignant leukocyte immunophenotyping and leukocyte function laboratory standards can be found in the Part 2 Specialty Requirements (Effective August 5, 2016). In addition, laboratories are required to demonstrate compliance with NYSDOH Standards Part 1 General Systems effective January 1, 2016.
